IES was brought in by ICF Consulting to help them manage the investigation and cleanup of the Naval Petroleum Reserves 1 and 2 owned by the Department of Energy (DOE). The former Golden Eagle Refining site located next to the city of Los Angles in California, U.S.A. was the first California state Superfund project that successfully converted a hazardous impacted site into a revenue generated asset.
