Mr. Scott Chandler
Golden Eagle Refinery Site Project Manager

As Project Manager of the Golden Eagle Refinery Site, it is my great pleasure to comment on the services that IES provides to Eni. Through acquisition, Eni inherited this Superfund site which consists of a former refinery, fuel storage tank farms and a municipal landfill amidst of highly populated residential and light industrial area in Southern California. Applicable federal and California environmental rules and regulations that Eni has to comply with are very complex, strict, and costly. IES not only helped Eni develop the site-wide comprehensive compliance strategies, it also methodically implemented remedial plans that resulted in significant savings of time and cost to Eni.

IES’ in-depth knowledge of the site combined with their science-based entrepreneur innovative approach to complicated technology, business and political issues sets them apart, not only in the environmental arena, but also as consultants to my business.

IES’ ability to work effectively with the regulatory agencies and other not-so-friendly stakeholders is impressive.  Regardless of the type of issue at hand, IES has shown progress with efficient and cost saving solutions. Their ability to break-down complex issues and explain them in layman’s terms in order to gain consensus and trust among competing stakeholders is truly legendary and a unique talent.

IES always has Eni’s best interest in mind when they serve. I cannot count the number of times their advice and creativity saved Eni time and money on the formidable challenges at the site. Their technical knowledge of how things work and their people skills in building consensus among competing parties are real advantages to Eni.

IES is a consultant and a business partner to Eni. They serve Eni very well. Without hesitation, I would recommend IES to any business owner that has environmental liabilities.
