Based on an extraordinary recommendation from a colleague, I asked Integrated for a "second opinion" on our 170-acre Los Angeles area property. They came back within days with a complete analysis of the project - where we were on the right track, where we might consider change. They brought key issues of corporate liability into focus and recommended a path forward that not only satisfied the concerns of the regulators but also fit our development plans perfectly.

Incredibly, one of their recommendations - while fully protecting human health and the environment - will save the project an estimated $10 million.

Integrated exhibited an amazing understanding of the site's physical challenges and complex local issues - involving multiple jurisdictions and other responsible parties - as well as our proposed development plans. They immediately put this knowledge and expertise to good use as they first devised a workable strategy and then got the agencies to sign off. As a result, we were able to drop the previously approved but overly conservative groundwater cleanup plan in favor of a much more realistic, risk-based approach.

While other contractors concentrated solely on using the latest technologies - and promising a 5 or 10 percent increase in removal efficiency - Integrated changed the rules of the game. They negotiated more relaxed remediation goals based on protection of human health instead of the one-size-fits-all MCLs. We were then able to couple the best technology with the risk-based cleanup goals and save an estimated $10 million.

In terms of project planning and management, Integrated has also excelled. With characteristic strong leadership, they have directed the activities of numerous contractors on a very short redevelopment schedule while meeting regulatory requirements and ensuring the highest quality work product. With clear, precise scopes of work that have become their hallmark, Integrated has enhanced the team's efficiency, eliminated redundancy, and cut the learning curve for new comers.

In short, Integrated has been the model project management consultant. Their actions have ensured the project will succeed on all levels - as a responsible, fully compliant environmental cleanup and as a profitable business venture.

We have just begun work on two more large, challenging projects in the Los Angeles area. This time, I'm bringing in Integrated from day one.
